Activated carbon is an efficient and cost-effective solution for removing a wide range of contaminants from industrial and municipal wastewater, contaminated ground and groundwater. IndoCarb offers the best solution for a variety of applications related to water treatment including drinking water, industrial and process water treatment. Our range of water treatment product range includes a variety of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC), Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC), Impregnated, Acid/Water washed and Speciality Catalytic grade of carbon.

Activated Carbon is mainly used for chlorine and organics removal in drinking water treatment applications. Removal of organics from chlorinated potable water is essential to prevent formation of trihalomethanes (THMs). Being microporous in internal structure, coconut shell carbon is well suited for organic chemical adsorption, including volatile organic chemicals while having higher chlorine reduction capabilities. Many organic compounds, such as chlorinated and non-chlorinated solvents, triholmethanes, pesticides and VOC are adsorbed into the inner pores. Indocarb WT grade products are used in point-of-use (POU) and point-of-entry (POE) drinking water filtration devices to improve the quality of drinking water by removing unwanted compounds such as arsenic, chlorine, chlorinated by-products such as THM's, chloramines, lead and volatile organic compounds (VOC's). Our products provide the optimal pore structure to allow contaminants the maximum exposure to adsorption sites in the carbon lattice.

        POU WATER FILTERS

Water filters, filter cartridges and carbon blocks are one of the most widely and effectively used water filtration technologies. IndoCarb utilizes state of the art manufacturing techniques and ultramodern equipment and testing facilities to produce a range of carbon products with the ideal balance of both adsorption and pore structure, low ash and impurities, high mechanical strength and consistent particle size distribution. IndoCarb WT grade of carbon products comply with all regulations and NSF 42, Prop 65 certification standards.

We also offer a specialized range of products including silver impregnated carbon for bacteriostatic applications and catalytic carbons for chloramine, iron, and hydrogen sulfide removal.

   MUNICIPAL & INDUSTRIAL

IndoCarb WT carbon is used in point-of-entry (POE) application to remove taste, odor and color in drinking water.

In the treatment of municipal water, removal of organics including VOCs, inorganics and toxins inherent in the rivers, lakes, reservoirs and other surface water sources and ground water systems is essential. IndoCarb WT products are also geared to adsorb hazardous pesticide and herbicide residues, chlorinated hydrocarbons, disinfectant byproducts, inhibitory compounds for biological treatment systems, non-biodegradable organic compounds, and undesired smell compounds. Our carbons are effective in lowering of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Organic Content (TOC) and toxicity

  WASTE WATER TREATMENT

Whether it is the treatment of wastewater, effluent or contaminated ground water, Indocarb activated carbon is the right choice for any kind of purification processes. Due to the high internal surface area and specific adsorption capacities, our carbon can absorb large quantities of dissolved organics from wastewater. Granular carbon filtration is used for removing dissolved, non-biodegradable organics using fixed filter beds. Powder carbons are used by mixing it with the sludge for better process stability and improve settling characteristics of the sludge.  Our WT grade granular and powder carbon products for this application are geared for effective removal of all formulaic organic contaminants in industrial, municipal and household waste water contributing to toxicity, high BOD, COD and TOC values, development of undesired color and odor, and inhibiting biological treatment systems.

The excellent adsorption properties of our products together with the ideal distribution of micro and meso pores allows the adsorption of a multitude of contaminants of large, medium and small molecular sizes.
